D-Max
What are the benefits of the
Isuzu D-Max Valve Body Upgrade?
There are so many but firstly, it’s to give your transmission a longer life and prevention of failure. The additional pressure placed on your transmission when towing a caravan / heavy loads and hard beach driving puts a tremendous amount of excessive heat on the automatic transmission.
The D-Max Valve Body Upgrade is the perfect accessory to provide quick, clean shifts with firmer convertor clutch operation that reduces flaring and gear hunting in your transmission. You will see a reduction in heat, fuel consumption and enjoy a better driving experience. The upgrade is a must to give you extra confidence when experiencing heavy duty off-roading / TOWING by improving the shifts and reducing slipping in your transmission.
Have you upgraded your engines performance?
If so, then we highly recommend this upgrade be carried out in conjunction with any engine performance improvements. As engine tunes alter the torque curve, they often adversely affect transmission behaviour and shift quality. The upgrade gives you the confidence that your automatic transmission does not become the weakest link.
Enjoy your driving experience with improved shifts and reduced slipping!
The valve body is the brain of the automatic transmission and the control centre of the automatic transmission. It is a maze of channels with valves and springs. The valves are controlled via hydraulics that direct hydraulic fluid to the numerous valves and springs which then activate the appropriate clutch pack or band servo to smoothly shift to the gear for each driving situation.
For maximum protection we highly recommend adding a transmission cooler. For more info https://ronhillautomatics.com.au/transmission-cooler/
